The Ummayyad Khilafah

661 CE, 40 A.H Muawiyah, Radi-Allahu anhu, becomes Khalifah.

670 CE, 50 A.H Advance in North Africa. Conquest of Kabul.

677 CE, 57 A.H Occupation of Samarkand and Tirmiz. Siege of Constantinople.

680 CE, 60 A.H Death of Muawiyah Radi-Allahu anhu. Accession of Yazid. Martyrdom of Hazrat Hussein, Radi-Allahu anhu.

685 CE, 65 A.H Abdul-Malik declares Arabic the official language of the Khilafah and makes a common coinage.

700 CE, 80 A.H Campaigns against the Berbers in North Africa.

711 CE, 92 A.H Conquest of Spain, Sind, and Transoxiana.

712 CE, 93 A.H The Muslims advance in Spain, Sind and Transoxiana.

713 CE, 94 A.H Conquest of Multan. Imam Malik is born.

716 CE, 97 A.H Invasion of Constantinople.

717 CE, 98 A.H Umar bin Abdul Aziz becomes Khalifah. Great reforms take place during his rule.

725 CE, 106 A.H The Muslims occupy Nimes in France.

732 CE, 113 A.H The battle of Tours in France.

740 CE, 122 A.H Berber revolt in North Africa. Battle of the Nobles.

742 CE, 124 A.H The Muslim rule restored in Qiarowan.

749 CE, 131 A.H Battles of lsfahan and Nihawand. Capture of Kufa by the Abbasids. As-Saffah becomes the Abbasid Khalifah at Kufa.

750 CE, 132 A.H Fall of Damascus. End of the Umayyads.
