Which Salat to Offer First: Fard or Qada?

By Mufti Ebrahim Desai

Q.) One day I became tired and sleep overtook me so I missed my Asr salat. By the time I got up it was time for Maghrib. What should I pray first, Maghrib or the qada for Asr?

A.) If you are a Sahib-e-Tartib (never missed any Salat before), then you should perform Asr before Maghrib Salat. If you are not, then you may perform Asr after the Maghrib Salat. And Allah Ta„la Knows Best.
